A Simple & Lazy Launch Strategy for Consistent Leads and Sales
Since the start of the year you might have seen me posting and showing up more frequently on my Instagram page, but if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably seen that for many years I barely posted on there at all.
Tbh, I’ve never liked the idea of having to post and create content all the time in order to get more clients or customers.
I know many people who enjoy this game.
I’m just not one of them.
It feels draining and requires a lot of my time/energy for only a small impact on my overall revenue.
Which is why I’ve always been an avid believer in running ads.
Instead of spending time chasing new clients or customers, I can set up an ad once and immediately have new people coming to me who need help with what I do.
This allows me to show up on social media when I WANT to, not HAVE to. Which is such a better feeling.
Being that this is my philosophy, it’s no wonder I end up attracting clients who feel the exact same way.
A little over a year ago, I got a message on my Instagram page from someone who had seen one of my ads and was looking for help.
She was looking to launch her first online course to make some additional revenue outside of her 1:1 client work, but she didn’t have much of a following so she knew that running ads to promote it was the way to go.
One of her main concerns though was that she didn’t want to do a live webinar.
She had done one in the past and was still feeling traumatized from the fact that barely anyone showed up and no one bought from her.
While many other marketing strategists and gurus would have told her that she had to do one anyway if she really wanted to be able to launch and sell her program….
I’m the type of person who will always encourage you to do what feels in alignment with you.
So we came up with a different strategy that would support her being able to sell her program without having to do live webinars.
One that would be repeatable and low-lift but still convert.
What we ended up doing first was creating a strategic lead magnet so she could begin growing an audience of people who we knew would be interested in course.
I also had her create a low-ticket offer to promote on the back-end to help recoup some of her ad costs upfront.
We then created a couple of ads to test and start promoting it.
After about a week, we found a winning ad and audience, and was able to add about 900 new leads onto her email list in about 6 weeks.
During this time though we didn’t just have her focus on list-building.
Through her lead magnet and her email follow-up sequence, we also focused on pointing people to a waitlist for her program.
This helped us know long before she ever went to sell or create her program that people would be interested in buying it.
From there we continued to send emails teasing the waitlist about the course and letting them know when the doors would finally open for enrollment.
On her very first launch of the program, she made $8k in sales.
Her offer was validated, she got paid, and now she was motivated to spend the next few weeks building out the program.
Keep in mind, this was all done behind-the-scenes without doing a live webinar or posting on social media.
She’s since repeated this same strategy multiple times and has added over $50k in sales to her business.
And it all started from setting up ONE simple list-building ad that she’s been able to use to consistently attract new ideal clients into her world.
She’s even re-used the same email for almost every “launch”, only tweaking them when needed.
This is my definition of a simple, lazy (in the best way possible) launch strategy that works.
I share this because there are so many experts out there who preach that you have to do things a certain way in order to get the results you’re looking for in your business.
But at the end of the day, it’s your business and you get to decide how you want to market your offers in a way that feels most aligned for you.
