3 Engagement Hacks to Boost Your Meta Ad Performance
This week I’m coming to you with some small changes – or what I’m referring to as “hacks” – that can make a big difference in the performance of your Meta ads.
These hacks are easy for anyone to implement and don’t require you to be tech-savvy or an expert on running ads.
They don’t even require you to get inside the ads manager.
Instead, they all point back to the actual engagement you’re getting on your ad.
Because ultimately, that’s one of the biggest factors that Meta cares about.
If you’re getting lots of engagement on your ad, that shows them you’re creating a good experience on their platforms and therefore, they will reward you with lower ad costs.
So here are 3 easy ways that you can leverage more engagement on your ad to hack the algorithm and boost your results:
Hack #1: Make Your Ads Share-Worthy
The more you can make your ad feel relatable and resonate with your audience, the more likely they are to share it with others, giving you additional reach for free.
Anytime someone shares your ad, you get the benefit of reaching additional people in their audience and you don't pay anything extra for these impressions.
Hack #2: Respond To Comments
I know this may seem obvious but the amount of ads I see where people are in the comments asking questions or leaving a compliment without a response is crazy to me.
Why?
Because engaging back isn't just polite—it's profitable.
If someone is taking the time to leave a comment on your ad or ask a question, they are likely very interested in what you're selling or promoting, and by not responding to their comment you’re leaving money on the table.
Also, if one person has a question about your offer, typically other people in your audience are going to have that same question so by responding you're helping additional people in your audience overcome that objection.
Lastly, when you respond to a comment on your ad it creates more social proof.
So, instead of showing 1 comment your ad, when you reply it shows 2 comments.
And when it comes to ads, the more social proof the better.
It's no different than if you were to drive by a restaurant with a big line out the door. The social proof immediately creates intrigue and trust that it must be really good.
The same concept applies to your ads.
Hack #3: Turn Customers into Advocates
This is my favorite hack and plays off the previous one but getting your existing customers or clients to comment on your ad is gold.
Especially when you're promoting one of your paid offers with ads.
A great way to get more people to do this is to encourage your clients or customers to comment on your ads so that they see if they had a good experience with whatever you offer.
You can even send them the direct link to one of your ads so it's even easier for them to take action.
This is also a great way to gather more testimonials that you can screenshot and use on your sales page.
